Biography
Afghan-American novelist and physician, author of The Kite Runner, one of the first major novels about Afghanistan written in English. Born in Kabul, his family fled to the United States after the Soviet invasion. His novels — The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, And the Mountains Echoed — have sold over 40 million copies worldwide.
